Snapfish.com is having a deal on 4x8 holiday cards. You have to order 20 (because they come in groups of 20) but they are only 1 cent each making it 20 cents for 20. The deal is only good until Nov. 23rd and the code is CARD08.

When I checked the website out, there is just a small little box on the home page advertising this. Make sure you put in the code (CARD08) for the discount when you are checking out. The discount will only work for the first set of 20--but you can't beat 20 holiday photo cards for 20 cents!!

Aliante Stadium 16 & IMAX Grand Opening

In honor of their Grand Opening on Friday, Nov. 14th, Regal Cinemas Aliante Stadium 16 is having a special preview event on Wed. Nov.12--Thurs. Nov.13. They are going to have $2 movies, popcorn and soft drinks, all proceeds are to benefit local charities. This movie theater is located inside the new Aliante Station Casino at 215 and Aliante Parkway. Grocery Smarts

This is a company that started in Utah and now we have a representative right here in Las Vegas. They teach you how to maximize your savings by combining weekly sales at the grocery store with coupons from the paper. The savings are astounding!! I've contacted the Las Vegas rep and she is going to put on a class for all of us who are interested. There is no fee to use their program, hardly any effort, but you do have to get a Sunday paper and they get special deals that they can pass on to us. I will be sending e-invites soon. What's for Dinner?

Yesterday on Oprah, she had on Christina Ferrare and she made three meals out of two roasted chickens. Well my friends! Whole chickens are on sale for $0.79lb at Albertson's until 10/28. Go buy two and you could make three delicious meals for cents! I can't wait to try it myself!

Magazine Subscriptions

You can get really affordable magazine subscriptions on ebay! They don't have the largest selection, but you can get them at a fraction of the cost. A subscription would make a great Christmas present! Just go to ebay and search for magazine subscriptions. Just to name a few, there are ESPN, Marie Claire, Gourmet, Family Fun, Glamour, Discover, Fitness and O at Home.

Hi Everyone:
The following are a few good deals I saw in the paper:
Albertsons:2 gallons of milk for $4.79, this is the store band "Shoppers Value"
Progresso Soups "Vegetable Classic Soups" 10 for $10.00

Vons:Foster Farms Whole Chickens for .77 cents a pound. If you don't know how to cut-up chickens I can show you! or just use them for soup, put the whole chicken in a pot and boil.

Smiths:Extra Lean 85% Ground Beef $1.99 a pound.
Mountain Dairy Milk 2 gallons for $5.00
Eggs 4 dozen Large Eggs fo $5.00. (They will let you buy 1 dozen for $1.25)

Remember if you are a Walmart shopper you can take the adds to Walmart and they will honor the other stores adds. They will not honor "buy one get one free" and you can't use the other stores "coupons". For the milk deals you have to buy the Walmart store brand.

These adds are good until Tuesday Oct 14th.

Make sure you show up a half hour early as these shows fill up fast and they limit the amount of people into each show.

I LOVE Golden Spoon!

Did you know that next time that you go to your local Golden Spoon that you can request them to send you text messages to your cell phone with 2 for 1 specials. About twice a month I get these magical texts that say, "come to Golden Spoon and show this code and you can get 2 for 1 regular sized yogurts today only". I don't always use them but sometimes I have a free moment to take advantage of it and I go buy the yummy discounted treats during the day and put them in the freezer to enjoy with my hubby after the kids go to sleep. You do have to go into the store and give them your cell # to get the text messages though.

When I was little, when ever my parents received money they weren't expecting (like a check for overpayment on their insurance or some money they found in their pocket, etc.) my mom always called it "Manna from Heaven". So this is my little "Manna from Heaven" that I'd like to share with you! I was talking to my mom today and we thought, wouldn't it be great if we could go somewhere to post info on great sales on groceries, clothing, etc. For instance, a few months ago they were having a fund raiser at Opportunity Village and all of their rides were free to the public. I had just had a baby and I was way too tired to call anybody to let them know about it but it would have been great if I had a place to come to like this blog to let others know what was going on. My mom ended up taking my boys and they had the whole place to themselves because hardly anyone knew about it. I think it would also be great to review new parks or community centers. Any money saving tips that you might know of and would like to share would be great too, for instance, did you know that by law the state of NV is required to pay for 2 weeks of swimming lessons for each child? Or if you find out that kids eat free at certain restaurants, you could let us know! In the summer months, I'll be sure to keep a link on the blog of the schedule for free movies for the kids. Please share this blog with your friends and family. With all the crazy things happening to our economy, who doesn't want to save a buck or two? Let's pass on all the good deals we come upon! This blog doesn't have to be just Las Vegas specific.
